OUR STORY

Jardin Corona has been serving Austin and the surrounding communities with authentic Mexican flavors and hearty Tex-Mex favorites for decades. From the very beginning, the vision was simple: create a place where family, friends, and neighbors could come together to enjoy great food, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere.

In 1996, longtime restaurateur Bert Mendez took ownership of Jardin Corona and carried forward the traditions that made it a local favorite. He preserved the restaurant’s beloved secret salsa recipes, first crafted in the mid-1990s, which quickly became a signature highlight for guests. With consistency, quality, and hospitality at the heart of the menu, Jardin Corona grew from a neighborhood spot into a name recognized across Central Texas, expanding to multiple locations while keeping the same homestyle spirit.

Today, at our 13301 N US-183 location in Austin, we remain committed to the values that started it all — fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and a community-driven dining experience. Whether you’re here for tacos, enchiladas, sizzling fajitas, or a house-special margarita, Jardin Corona is more than a restaurant. It’s a gathering place where every visit feels like home, and every meal is a celebration of flavor and tradition.
